A merger between CD Reyfra and CA Getafe resulted in the formation of Atlético Madrid B in 1964. The club took on the name Atlético Madrid B in 1991. It serves as the reserve team for Atlético Madrid and competes in the Segunda División B. The club is housed at the Cerro del Espino Stadium.
