This One's For the Girls is a musical that traces the journey of women from the beginning of the 19th Century to the end of it - from being a man's subordinate to conquering their own lives. The musical is written by Dr. Dorothy Marcic, who turned playwright after publishing 15 books. This musical is an adaptation of Dr. Marcic's literary work, "Respect: A musical journey of Women." Before completing This One's For the Girls - A Musical, Dr. Marcic toured all around the United States with her one-woman show based on the same book. With the help of excerpts from 60 pop-songs over the century, this musical tells tales of women and their struggles, issues, hope and heroism.
