FC Seoul was established under the name of Lucky Geumsung Bulls Football Club in 1983 and changed the name as Anyang LG Cheetahs in 1996 moving the home ground from Seoul to Anyang. However, at which point the football club was running on the successful way as the best team in K-League, the club's parent company, LG, changed the home into Seoul again despite fans' intense resistance. Football fans in Anyang has been blaming and boycotting FC Seoul until the recent. The rival, Suwon Samsung Bluewings, taunts FC Seoul with Bukpae which means the depravity of North(Seoul is located on northern area of Suwon.) After the home ground-related controversy, FC Seoul lifted two the champion trophies for the league and two for a league cup flauntingly and produced many star players such as Juyeong Park, Cheongyong Lee, Seongyong Ki and Yeongpyo Lee.
