The French ice hockey team Rapaces de Gap competes in the Ligue Magnus, which is the top division of the men's ice hockey pyramid. The team was founded in 1937 and began its career playing in the second division. Losses resulted in the team being relegated to the lower ranks during the 2000s. However, in 2009, the it managed to return to the first division. Many notable players including Roland Cloutier, Christian Pouget and Vadim Sharifijanov have been part of the team's lineup. Rapaces de Gap plays its home games at the Patinoire Brown-Ferrand.
