The Cheetahs was founded in 2005 as the Central Cheetahs, but have had variations in its name due to changes in sponsors. The South African professional rugby union team plays its home matches at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein. The Cheetahs play in the Pro14 rugby league.
