The South African football club, Moroka Swallows, is based in the Soweto township in Johannesburg and was founded in 1947. It was one of the competitors who participated in the inaugural season of the Premier Soccer League in 1996. The club enjoyed a long run in the top league which later came to an end at the 2014–15 season. Even though the club didn’t win the top-tier title, it still boasts a praise-worthy list of achievements that include winning the South African Soccer League, Mainstay Cup, Bob Save Super Bowl and many more. The Moroka Swallows play in the National First Division and use the Dobsonville stadium as its home ground.
