The Scottish football club, Arbroath, is one of the ten contestants in the Scottish Championship. The club was formed in 1878 and is based in Arbroath, a town in Angus. Winning the Scottish Football League Second Division title is one of the major milestones in the club's history. Another important one was achieved during the 1985 Scottish Cup, where it competed against Bon Accord and won 36–0. Achieving a score like this is still considered to be an impossible feat. The Arbroath, or as its fans like to call it “The Red Lichties,” holds its home games at the Gayfield Park.
