Les Négresses Vertes

Les Négresses Vertes came together in the year 1987 in the city of Paris. The music of this group is a fusion of world music with aspects of alternative rock influenced by music scenes of the city. Meaning ‘Green Negresses’ in English the band was named ‘Les Négresses Vertes’ as a show of strength after being publicly abused at their first concert. The band remained active till the year 2001. The group reformed in the year 2015 to announce its 2016 tour. In all of its successful years this group has been loved and well received by critics and enthusiasts alike.
