Inverness Caledonian Thistle is a Scottish football club is based in the city of Inverness. Its formation in 1997 resulted from the merger of Thistle and Caledonian, which were two already existing football clubs. It came into the spotlight after its incredible performances in the Scottish Cup competitions during the early 2000s. Around the same period, the club won the First Division title for the very first time in its history. Today, the club is one of the competitors in the Scottish Championship. Inverness Caledonian Thistle uses the Caledonian Stadium for its home games.
