Alison Krauss

Bluegrass singer/songwriter and musician Alison Krauss is credited with reigniting American bluegrass along with her backing band, Union Station. She launched her music career at a young age--entering song competitions at the age of 10 and recording by the age of 14. A native of Illinois, Krauss released her debut solo album, I've Got That Old Feeling, in 1990 and the LP's unique and modern take on the bluegrass genre won Krauss a Grammy award for best bluegrass album of the year. Since then, she has managed to stay busy with an ardent recording and touring schedule, as well as numerous collaborative projects including the highly lauded venture with Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant.
