Aberdeen was a twee pop band that formed in 1993. Iinitially with British label Sarah Records, the group earned a quick international following as the only American band on the imprint. However, when Sarah Records went undergroun in 1995, the group went along with it. Aberdeen reunited in 2001, and released its first full-length album, Homesick and Happy to be Here, in 2002. Despite a spike in success, Aberdeen broke up again in 2005 and its members drifted into other projects. The group left fans with a retrospective release, What Do I Wish for Now?, the following year. Aberdeen reunited for the 2011 edition of San Francisco Pop Fest and the band continues to tour across North America and Europe.
