The members of Lady Bird - the UK-based punk band - chanced upon each other at a local music venue in Kent. The band Slaves signed the group to its record label after seeing it perform at the five-year anniversary of the album Sugar Coated Bitter Truth, at the same venue where the band members first met. Lady Bird released its first single "Spoons" in 2018.
