Formed in 1946, FC Avangard Kursk is a Russian football club that participates in the Russian Professional Football League. It represents the city of Kursk and uses the Trudovye Rezervy Stadium as its home arena. Despite reaching the finals of the Russian Cup during the 2017-18 season, it ended up as a runner up and has yet to win this elusive trophy.
