Josh Edwards, who performs under the name Blanco White, is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from London, England. His musical path commenced with the study of flamenco guitar in Cádiz, Spain, and subsequently led him to delve into traditional Bolivian folk music, where he acquired skills in playing the charango. In 2014, he initiated his solo endeavor, Blanco White, which fuses Andalusian and Latin American musical elements with his English heritage. His inaugural performance occurred in December 2015, which resulted in a contract with Yucatán Records. Blanco White's first EP, The Wind Rose, was released in 2016, followed by Colder Heavens in 2017 and The Nocturne in 2018. His debut album, On the Other Side, was launched in 2020, and he subsequently released his second album, Tarifa, in 2023. Renowned for his expressive melodies and intricate instrumentation, Blanco White has earned acclaim for his distinctive sound and profound lyrics, establishing his position in the realm of contemporary music.
