S.C. Covilhã also known fondly as “Leões da Serra” is a football club based in Covilhã that participates in the LigaPro. It was established in 1923 and uses the Estádio Municipal José dos Santos Pinto as its home stadium. The Segunda Divisão title is its most notable honor and it has achieved this feat five times in its history. Alireza Haghighi and Rui Barros are some reputed players to have featured for this club.
