Named after the mythical figure “Lech” in Slavic folklore, Lech Poznań is a football club that participates in the Ekstraklasa. Formed in 1922 as “Lutnia Dębiec”, it is one of the most popular clubs in Europe and is notoriously famous for the Poznań celebration. It has won the Polish Cup and the Ekstraklasa on multiple occasions and has also featured in premier European tournaments such as the UEFA European Winner’s Cup, UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League.
