Górnik Polkowice is a football club based in the Polish town of Polkowice. It was founded in 1947 and it debuted in the local division competitions. In 1954, it paved its way into the A-Class of Polish local division football. The next big step-up for the club was competing in the III Liga. Very soon, the Górnik Polkowice was one of the clubs in the top league. But the club was unable to maintain its position and was relegated after playing for just one season. It competes in the II league and uses the Kopalniana Street Stadium for its home games.
