Melbourne City FC is an Australian soccer club that competes in the A-League. The club was formed in 2009 as “Melbourne Heart” and plays its home fixtures at the AAMI Park. The club shares an intense local rivalry with Melbourne Victory with the fixture between these two clubs being termed as the “Melbourne Derby”. This rivalry is an annual phenomenon and has witnessed several great moments including the FFA Cup Semi-final during the club’s 2016 FFA Cup title winning campaign.
