With an excellent sense of direction by Clarke Peters and choreography by Andrew Wright, Five Guys Named Moe takes place in a charming jazz club and is only made more delightful with music by Louis Jordan. This musical features a forlorn man brooding over his lost love who is suddenly met with five cheerful men (with equally cheerful names: read Big Moe, Know Moe, Little Moe, Four-Eyed Moe and Eat Moe) disguised as jazz aficionados, teaching him a newfound lesson on love, hence breathing new life into him. Complete with spot-on costumes and a magical score, this piece evokes a nostalgic jazz party atmosphere.
