Universidad César Vallejo

Formed in 1996, Club Deportivo Universidad César Vallejo is a football club from Trujillo that participates in the Liga 1 of Perú. Known fondly as “Los Poetas”, it can be seen playing its home games at the Estadio Municipal de Casa Grande. It has won honors such as the Peruvian Liga 2, Copa Perú and the Torneo del Inca but the Liga 1 crown has remained elusive.
