Created by Joel Hodgson, Mystery Science Theater 3000 aka MST3K is a comedy series. The show premiered in 1988 in Minneapolis, MN. Despite not amassing good viewership, the show became really popular on the Internet. Its fans call themselves the MSTies or Mysties. The show has been listed as one of Time magazine's "100 Best TV Show of All-TIME" in 2007. It has achieved cult status. Big names like Trace Beaulieu, Jim Mallon, Patrick Brantseg, Jonah Ray, Hampton Yount, Baron Vaughn, Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt have appeared on MST3K.
