G.D. Chaves is a Portugese football club that represents Chaves in the LigaPro, the second division of the league system. It was founded in 1949 and is one of the most experienced clubs in the country, having played in the top division for many years. After several fantastic seasons in the top league, it was relegated to the second league post the 1992-93 season. Chaves plays its home games at the Estádio Municipal de Chaves.
