Wakehurst, who is affectionately referred to as “The 'Hurst” by its fans, is an intermediate football club based in Northern Ireland. It was founded in 1969 in the town of Ballymena. One of its biggest achievements was winning the County Antrim Junior Shield in 1990. It is one of the competitors in the Ballymena & Provincial Football League and it uses the Mill Meadow stadium located in Castledawson.
