Portstewart Football Club was founded in 1968 in the Northern Irish town of Portstewart. It debuted in the Castlerock and Coleraine District League. Even though this was its first-ever season in a league, it still managed to become the titleholder. In 1979, it paved its way into the Northern Ireland Intermediate League (NIIL) and has been a consistent competitor in it ever since. The club boasts many achievements, including the Irish Intermediate Cup and the IFA Intermediate Second Division.
