The Sea Wolf is a dramatic play based on the novel by Jack London. Telling the story of a literary critic named Humphrey van Weyden who after an at-sea collision is rescued by Wolf Larsen, the maniacal captain of a seal hunting ship. Turned into a crew member, van Weyden eventually discovers that Larsen is an accomplished autodidact who has an impressive knowledge of scholastic matters. While the two men find common ground over a fondness of literature, there is a strong personal difference between them that is impossible to ignore, steering the two men on a cataclysmic collision course.
