Thunder is a hard rock band that was founded in London in 1989. The band signed with EMI Records before releasing its debut album Backstreet Symphony in 1990. Though the band underwent various lineup changes, it never failed to release new music every couple of years. Thunder followed-up the record with the critically acclaimed Laughing on Judgement Day, which catapulted the band to the forefront of the UK's 1990s heavy metal scene. After a quick hiatus in 2000 and again in 2009, the band has solidified with original founders Danny Bowes, Luke Morley, Ben Matthews and Gary James still at the helm of the project. Despite a changing musical landscape, Thunder has retained its signature classic hard rock style on records like 2015's Wonder Days and 2017's Rip It Up.
