Born George David Brandon Jones in 1993 in Montclair, New Jersey, Topaz Jones is an American rapper and singer. He was raised in a family with a strong musical background; his father, Curt Jones, played funk guitar in the bands Slave and Aurra, while his mother pursued academic excellence at Harvard. After graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Jones launched his music career with the release of his first single, "Coping Mechanism," in 2013, followed by his debut album, The Honeymoon Suite, in 2014. His 2016 album, Arcade, received considerable recognition, particularly due to the hit single "Tropicana." In 2021, he released the visual album Don't Go Tellin' Your Momma, which included a short film that won a Sundance award.
