VfB Oldenburg is a professional football club that plays in Regionalliga Nord (IV), the fourth tier of the German league system. Founded in 1897, much of team's early years were spent in the amateur leagues, while the formation of the new league system lead to the team joining the Regionalliga Nord (II).
