A German professional football club, Würzburger Kickers plies its trade in the 3. Liga. The team was founded in 1907 and was one of the strongest teams in Bavaria in its early days. While it has never played in the top tier of German football, it continues to be supported by a vast number of passionate fans, who never fail to show up in large number at the Flyeralarm Arena.
