The Red Shoes is a musical with music by Jule Styne, a book by Mersha Norman and lyrics by Norman and Bob Merrill. The production is based on the revered Powell and Pressburger film of the same name that tells of a young dancer who performs in a ballet adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen story The Red Shoes.
