The ‘Pride of the North’ as this club is affectionately known, comes from the old-city of Groningen. Since entering the upper echelon of Dutch football, it has never won a title and its only domestic championship was the KNVB Cup of 2014. Groningen takes the pitch at Euroborg Stadion which holds a capacity of about 22,000.
