Embrace is a British rock band formed in 1990. Like some of the bands that emerged in the post-Britpop scene, it became a pop sensation during the late 1990s. The McNamara brothers - Richard and Danny - sowed the seeds for the band when they began to create original music with the help of their cassette recorder. The lineup soon expanded to include keyboardist Mickey Dale, drummer Mike Heaton and bassist Steve Firth. The band released its debut single "All You Good Good People" in early 1997 via Fierce Panda Records. The release of its subsequent singles "Fireworks" and "One Big Family" helped Embrace build a loyal fan-following. The success of these singles helped pave the way for the band's debut album The Good Will Out, which not only received critical acclaim but also topped the UK Albums Chart. Over the next few years, Embrace continued to delight its fans in the UK with albums like Drawn from Memory and If You've Never Been. Like its predecessors, 2004's Out of Nothing - which took over two years to create - reached number one within a week of its release. The band made a comeback in 2018 with its seventh album, Love Is a Basic Need. Its ten-track songlist included the singles "The Finish Line," "Never" and "Love is a Basic Need." The songs "Gravity," "Ashes," "Celebrate," "Wonder," "Nature's Law" and "Someday" are some of the band's most popular to date.
