Formed in 2000, Stavanger Oilers is an ice hockey team that competes in the GET-ligaen which is the top-flight league for Norwegian ice hockey. Known officially as “Stavanger Ishockeyklubb”, it uses the DNB Arena as its home ground. It is a highly successful club in the league and has seven Norwegian Championships to its credit. Marius Trygg, Lars Peder Nagel and Kristian Forsberg are a few players that have represented this team.
