The reserve team of Selangor FA, Selangor FA II was founded in 1967 and has undergone multiple name changes since then. It plays in the Malaysia Premier League. As per the Malaysian Football rules, since a reserve team is not allowed to play in its parent team's league, Selangor FA II will not be promoted to the top league ever.
