The Fureys is an Irish folk band that was formed in 1974. Initially founded by four brothers who all grew up in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin, the group would eventually started to bring aboard additional musicians to round out its sound in a live setting. Consistently releasing albums at a regular rate and keeping an active performance regime, The Fureys have endeared itself to Ireland and its musical heritage.
