Associazione Sportiva Roma, commonly known as just Roma, is a professional Italian football club. Founded in 1927, Roma is a member of Serie A, the top football league in Italy. The club plays its home matches in Stadio Olimpico, along with crosstown rival Lazio. Roma's team colors of imperial purple and gold represent the traditional colors of Rome.
