In 1967, Italian producer Dino De Laurentiis made a film which included five of Italy's most influential and acclaimed filmmakers. The original film was entitled Le Streghe, or "The Witches" and La Terra Vista dalla Luna was the third installment in the five-part movie; this one was directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini. The plot follows father and son, Ciancicato and Baciù, in a quixotic search for the perfect woman after they bury the most prominent lady in both their lives, Ciancicato's wife and Baciù's mother. After searching in vain for a long time, they finally find the quintessential woman who is named Assurdina Caì, however in their efforts to secure the perfect life, not everything goes as planned.
