Pietro de Maria is an Italian pianist who has become one of Italy's more revered piano players over his decades long career. Studying with famed composers Gino Gorini and Maria Tipo, de Maria would receive the critics' award at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1990. De Maria released his debut album, Clementi: Piano Sonatas, in 1999 and has since managed to maintain a fairly prolific recording output.
