Formed in 1998, with majority of its members still in high school, Punchline’s initial songs fit more into the ska punk genre. Over the years the group has gradually translated from ska punk to pop punk. The band rose to prominence with their 2004 album, Action, capturing the audience's attention with its catchy tunes. The band started off as an independent group, self-producing and self-releasing their albums. The year 2003 saw this collective signed to the Fueled by Ramen records owned by Warner Bros. With multiple line-up changes and brilliant albums, Punchline has garnered huge praise and has acquired an impressive fan base.
