La Vénus à la Fourrure is a play based off of Leopold Von Sacher-Masoch's 1870 erotic novel and Roman Polanski's 2013 film of the same name. Adapted for the stage by David Ives in 2010, the story begins one night when an author is alone in his theater. He'd just finished some auditions when an actress arrives and attempts to convince him how she is perfect for the role. And so begins a game that is at once masochistic, sensitive and disconcerting.
