Mervue United A.F.C. is one of the most successful teams that compete in the Galway & District League. The team was founded in 1960, in Mervue, Ireland. It started competing in the league at the beginning of the 1970s. Within a couple of years, it achieved a spot for itself in the top division and dominated it for many years to come. By 2000, it had a total of eight league titles. It replicated a similar level of success in the Connacht Senior League. The team can be seen playing its home games at Fahy's Field.
