Sadhana Sargam (née Ghanekar), born on March 7, 1969, is an Indian playback singer celebrated for her contributions to Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil cinema. Hailing from a musical Marathi family in Dabhol, Maharashtra, she began her singing career at an early age, achieving early acclaim with her rendition of "Ek Anek Aur Ekta" for Doordarshan when she was just six years old. Sargam made her playback debut in Gujarati films and rose to prominence with popular tracks in Hindi cinema, such as "Har Kisiko Nahin Milta" from Janbaaz and "Pehla Nasha" from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. With an impressive repertoire of over 15,000 songs across 36 Indian languages, she has garnered numerous accolades, including a National Film Award and several state film awards. Her significant contributions also extend to the South Indian music industries, where she has recorded numerous hits in Tamil and Telugu. Renowned for her exceptional vocal versatility, Sargam remains a vital presence in the Indian music industry.
