OK Kid emerged out of Germany in 2012 with a crossover sound between electro, rap and pop. Taking its name from two iconic Radiohead albums, OK Computer and Kid A, the trio split off from another band called Jona:S to pursue a more experimental sound. OK Kid introduced itself with a self-titled debut album, which was released with Sony Music subsidiary Four Music in 2013. The band struck chords in Germany's mainstream pop music scene and earned a national following by the time it released its follow-up sophomore effort, Zwei.
