BFC Siófok was formed in the town of Siófok and entered into the world of Hungarian football in 1921. It was originally named Siófok SE, but after joining forces with Bodajk FC in 2005, it changed its name to BFC Siófok. The club rose to popularity after winning the Hungarian cup in 1984. This was a milestone victory for the team. Another win that accompanied the cup arrived in 1996 when the club won its first Nemzeti Bajnokság II title. The club currently competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II league and plays its home games at the Révész Géza utcai Stadion.
