Vamp in the Kitchen is an installment in Nicole Avezard and Dominique de Lacoste's the stage comedy series Les Vamps. Following the story of Avezard's signature character Lucienne, and her niece Solange, the play tells the story of two women who live their dream of participating on their favorite TV program, Un souper presque parfait. However the dream might quickly turns into a nightmare if the women are ridiculed for their appearances. As Lucienne pushes Solange toward a big metamorphosis, Vamp in the Kitchen ultimately becomes a critique on society's expectations of women.
