Ed Motta is a Brazilian singer/songwriter and keyboardist who makes a distinctive style of music by blending together elements of rock, soul, funk and jazz. A member of a number of different bands throughout the 1980s, Motta would eventually strike out on his own and release his debut solo album, Um Contrato ComDesus, in 1990.
