Brain Damage is a French band that blends together a number of varied styles including punk, new wave and garage rock. Initially founded in 1977, the group would build a name for itself as a powerful live act before releasing any music. Though the group broke up in 1984, it would reform a few years later in 1988 and launch down a stylistically different path. Opting to incorporate a defined psychedelic sound with science fiction inspired lyrics, Brain Damage would release its debut album, La Ténèbre, in 1992.
