Alan Stivell is a Breton and Celtic musician from Auvergne, France who is partially responsible for the general public's high interest in world music during the 1970s. A player of the bagpipes as well as a master of the Celtic harp, Stivell is regarded as a progenitor of the modern Celtic rock movement.
