Stan Van Samang is a Belgian actor and singer who initially rose to fame on the Flemish TV soap opera Wittekerke. In 2006, he performed on a televised charity show where actors sing for various causes and philanthropic organizations. After Van Samang proved his vocal prowess, he was soon offered a record deal. Releasing his debut LP, Welcome Home, in 2007, Van Samang's hit single "Scars" reached #1 on Belgian charts and remained there for five weeks.
