When the French electropop band Yelle first started making music in the mid-2000s the group didn't have a recording contact or a manager who was able to sell the band's music. But Yelle did have a MySpace page; and after posting a few songs on the social networking site the group found a large listener base of people who enjoy the band's electronic take on modern pop music. The notoriety Yelle received via MySpace helped the French trio land a recording contract, letting the group release an album of original material to an audience of already eager fans.
